Any Korean drama fan looking at the cast of A Delicious Proposal will certainly be intrigued. This is in fact the debut drama of Son Ye Jin, who would later go on to star in film April Snow and drama Alone in Love. You also get to see the early days of some young actors who would later become mainstays of the industry, including So Ji Sub (Sorry, I Love You), Ji Sung (All In), and particularly Kwon Sang Woo.

Hyo Dong (Jung Joon, Strange Man, Strange Woman) treats his customers like kings and serves the best Chinese food in the area, but his restaurant has been struggling for some time. Built on dedication and decades of hard works by his father (veteran Park Geun Hyung), the restaurant has been declining due to the aggressive techniques of their rivals. In the midst of this competition, Hyo Dong gets to know Hee Ae (Son Ye Jin), a charming young girl who frequents the same cooking class. They also meet Shin Ae (So Yu Jin, Seoul 1945), a poor student with a big dream and lots of determination. Hyo Dong falls for Hee Ae, but when he finds out who her father is and how he's connected to his recent troubles, things start to get a little more complicated.
